Welcome to Hopeful Explorers. We are Christian and Sita, at the end of 2020 Sita left her career in Pharmaceuticals, and we sold our hill top house in Switzerland to travel the world with our three dogs to pursue a life of happiness, and adventure.
Ever since we’ve known each other we have suffered from ‘itchy feet’ an affliction that results in an overwhelming desire to see and experience something new after only a short period of time. Together with our three dogs (Poodle, Dundee, and Mezzo) we are attempting to live a life that allows us to embrace our ‘itchy feet’, and live a life that makes us happy. In our case this involves travelling as much as possible, with lots of time spent in nature. On occasion we like to visit cities, and take in the cultural sites, along with some unique local foods.
Meet the Rest of the Team
We are Poodle, Mezzo and Dundee. Together we ensure that Christian and Sita are never without dirty paw prints on their bed. Poodle is a mini Poodle, except he grew too tall, so technically he’s a King Poodle, a term that suits him very well. He is the boss of the whole family, and loves couch snuggles. Mezzo is a Finnish Lapphund, a very old reindeer herding breed from Finland. He doesn’t do much reindeer herding, but is excellent at letting us know exactly when it’s dinner time – always 6pm on the dot. Dundee, aka Pups or Puppy, is the ‘baby’ of the family. He’s a long haired German Shepherd, and is a big softie. He loves holding paws, chasing his ball and head scratches.
Where We Have Travelled
We both did a lot of travelling before we met, since we met we’ve done our best to see the world. More often than not it involved selling everything, and moving to a new city or even country to pursue a new life and career opportunities. Now that we’ve committed ourselves to travelling full time, we look forward to seeing this map become a lot more filled in as we travel the world with our dogs. Join our journey as we start by exploring the dense cultural richness of the European continent.
